The new Surface Book 2 comes with a Nvidia GeForce GPU update and a battery of increased capacity. The Surface Book 2 is rated to offer 17 hours of battery life with the 15-inch variant and the processing is taken care by choice of 8th Gen Intel dual and quad-core processors. The Surface Book 2 looks pretty much identical to its predecessor but Microsoft claims that they have improvised a great deal on the backlit keyboard and the singular flexible hinge....

The Surface Laptop boasts of a 3:2 aspect ratio and it mostly looks like a MacBook killer with the Alcantara keyboard deck, hardware options ranging all the way up to i7 and the 13.5-inch PixelSense display is apparently “the thinnest LCD module on a laptop. ” It’s interesting how Microsoft is not just restricting the Windows 10 S to budget hardware but is extending the same to the top of the line Surface lineup as well....

The new Moto G5 abolishes the plastic shell build Motorola has been offering for four years, and instead, brings an aluminum unibody. It comes with a 5-inch Full HD panel up front and uses a water-repellent coating (P2i) for protection against occasional spills and splashes. For the hardware, Moto has decided to go for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 Octa-Core processor which is quite baffling given the Moto G4 is powered by a more capable Qualcomm 617 SoC....

Taking the stage, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook said the following: “It’s the golden age of television. The television experience has been virtually standing still while innovation in the mobile space has been racing ahead. Today, we are going to do something about that. Our vision for TV is simple and perhaps a little provocative. The Nokia 5 and Nokia 8’s retail prices have dropped by Rs 1,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively. The price drop is effective starting today via major brick and mortar stores across the country. Incidentally, only the 3GB version of the Nokia 5 seems to have received the price cut. It is now available at just Rs 12,499 which is same as that of the 2GB variant of the smartphone. While no official words regarding the price of the Nokia 5 (2GB) is available as of yet; it is believed to receive a similar treatment sooner than later....

Ever since Microsoft bought Nokia’s services and devices divisions, there has been a number of talk points where it was believed that the Finnish giant will reboot its effort in smartphone manufacturing business. But until now Nokia kept denying any such possibility, and also it was contractually obligated from manufacturing or using its brand name on any phone until the end of 2016. But then Nokia partnered with Foxconn last year to sell a tablet called the N1, which runs Android, giving slightest of indication of its return to the game....

According to Ishan, the base variant of OnePlus 7 Pro, which comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will start at Rs 49,999, while the middle variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will be priced at Rs 52,999 and finally, the top end version of OnePlus 7 Pro with a whopping 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will be priced at Rs 57,999....

Unlike other countries, where OnePlus smartphones run on OxygenOS, Chinese variants of the device rather have their own skin on top, called HydrogenOS. Essentially, it is a run-down version of OxygenOS, without the Google Play services. The NFC-based payment service, OnePlus Pay, resides within the Wallet app found on HydrogenOS and supports a handful of banking cards. Moreover, as already mentioned, the service is currently supported on OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro, and the company plans to add support for more devices and banks moving forward....

Before we even get into the review, we need to get the devil off our backs. Philips Hue is pricey, and there are no two words about it. At Rs 16,995 in India ($200 in US and €179 in Europe) for the starter kit with 3 LED bulbs, and Rs 3,500 for every extra Hue bulb, it’s hard to justify the price if you’re looking it to replace your home lighting....

Poco India’s country head, Anuj Sharma, tweeted out a letter on Twitter, mentioning “Only a POCO can beat a POCO” and that “it is time for #PROformance”. A first glance at the attached letter hints at some of the information about the upcoming smartphone, including things like its name, launch date, and even the price range. Speaking of which, the letter also reads that it’s 2021, and still, there is not a single phone launched at Rs 21,000 that can match or beat the performance of the Poco F1 — hinting that the upcoming smartphone could be launched for a similar price....

The Qualcomm’s latest 5G modem will initially support operation millimeter wave (mmWave) spectrum in 28GHz. It will deploy Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna technology with adaptive beamforming and beam tracking technologies. Qualcomm states that this in turn facilitates sustained mobile broadband communication in non-line of sight (NLOS) environments. That said, the chipmaker will be making use of 800MHz bandwidth on the Snapdragon X50 5G modem to support speeds of upto 5 gigabits per second....

To begin with, the Snapdragon 821’s 14-nanometer chip is 10% more powerful than the 820 and can be clocked up to 2.4GHz from 2.1GHz in contrast to 820’s 2.2GHz with Qualcomm’s Kryo Quad-Core CPU. The Snapdragon 821 is basically designed to act as an interim solution for upcoming high-end devices until Qualcomm unveils their next generation product. Apart from that, the Snapdragon 821 is borrowing essentially every specification from the Snapdragon 820 including the Ultra HD Voice tech for improved call quality, 600 Mbps X12 LTE modem, and Upload+ for faster downloads....
