Not even a fortnight since Microsoft’s Project Natal aka Kinect launch, hackers & developers have managed to break the Kinect code and forge an open source driver. Now, the real experimentation have begun. The latest concept being demoed on YouTube, comes from Oliver Kreylos has developed a C++ implementation of Kinect that allows for 3D reconstruction of a room using a single Kinect system. By combining the color and the depth image captured by the Microsoft Kinect, one can project the color image back out into space and create a “holographic” representation of the persons or objects that were captured....

2015 Lenovo X1 Carbon Lenovo is refreshing the X1 Carbon ultrabook with Intel’s latest 5th-generation Broadwell processors which should deliver slightly better CPU performance, better GPU and longer battery life (10 hours of battery life). The lower-resolution screen has been bumped to 1920×1080 from 1600×900. The Ultrabook also comes with a slightly larger battery, moving from 45 to 50 watts, which represents a 10 percent improvement. There have been made improvements to the keyboard and the click pad, as well....

It’s called Mailtrack. Mailtrack is a free Google Chrome extension that brings the delivery marks you usually get on instant messaging applications, to email accounts (it supports only Gmail for now). The tool is fairly straightforward, a single tick next to your email dictates that it has been delivered to the end server and a double green check suggests that it has been read by the recipient. This move comes right after Netflix extended their presence in 130 countries and we had just discovered a tool called Smartflix which helped bypass the country restrictions.
