Smartphone sales dipped in Q4 2020 While IDC had said that the final quarter of 2020 had witnessed 4.3 percent growth in the smartphone segment, Gartner paints a slightly grim picture. As per the report, smartphone sales actually shrank by 5 percent in Q4 2020 as compared to Q4 2019. In all, 384.62 million smartphones were sold in Q4 2020 as compared to 406.64 in Q4 2019. This is a bit of a surprise to us given all the talk about “holiday season spending....

Cloud Storage – An Useful Tool in this Digital Era Everything changed in the past 6 months when I realized that I no longer can rely only on my laptop and various storage devices. My gmail account got hacked and I could have lost access to important documents that I used to keep on my free email account. As Google says, an archive of all public communities will become available but starting from today, it will be impossible to create an Orkut account. Also, by removing Orkut permanently from your Google account, your posts or name won’t be included in the community archive. Also, former Orkut users will be unable to log in or export their photo albums to Google+ once the service gets closed. This is an unexpected move, as it would’ve made more sense for Google to allow this, and it would’ve helped to increase the number of active Google Plus users, as well....
